Have You Been Hurt? - "Tell Me About That"
Desperation
Rescue from Overwhelm
Process
("DROP" Recovery)
This is an emergency procedure developed for persons in severe emotional distress
You can also do this for therapeutic inner work.
(Click on the "Directions" button above for instructions in setting up a session.)
For each item, choose the question that fits you the most, or start with the first one.
(In the first time passing through the list for all of these, select the first one or select the best one that fits - write it down and ask the question to the person you are helping or to yourself - then write down your answer - then ask the question again to see if there are any more answers before going on to the next category. For now, ask other questions in the category only if they really indicate to you as being important. In the second pass through the list, you can cover all of the questions to see if there are any answers to those, as well. After you get some experience in this, you may want to add to the questions by writing in your own.)
Always take time to give a thorough answer with as many details as you can recall -
(Don't interrupt a person to require all of these, but you may help a person along at appropriate times, to assist them in probing further. These are given mainly to structure responses for a person working on their own.)
- Time
- Place
- Circumstances or Form of the Area
- Event or Action
- What was Said
- Any Moment(s) of Shock
- Sights, Sounds, Impacts, Smells, Sensations and Feelings
At any time you experience relief, you can go on to the next question, or take a short break (be sure to come back to complete the session - even if it is decided to do nothing more for the time being). At any time you experience a huge relief, end the session and take a walk and/or find something to enjoy.
Important Note: If you are dealing with someone who has been tortured or subjected to MK-Ultra mind-control, heavy abuse or institutional abuse, it is important to get them journaling on their own before they are engaged in any communication therapy (as outlined more thoroughly in in the book by Cathy O'Brien called "A Time to Heal "). Use your judgment and their interest after they have journaled all that they can remember, before going on to these spiritual healing processes.
